RESE 2019 - Background

An ever growing population is directly proportional to burgeoning need for energy. Nowadays, enormity of energy demand cannot be denied. Knowing the dreadful fact that non renewable sources will eventually deplete, the importance of energy from renewable sources cannot be underestimated. The major source for nonrenewable energy is fossil fuel but with associated environmental issues. With the challenges being quite evident, the industry needs reliable and affordable energy for its sustenance, productivity and competitiveness. At the same time, industries have to find an appropriate balance between their growing demand for energy and the urgent need to protect the environment. Renewable Energy stands tall as one of the pillars for delivering global sustainable environment and the commitment to frame realistic plan to achieve climate change targets. The renewable energy industry has matured, with huge investments being ploughed into it globally. Governments are also looking for ‘green’ solutions.

In 2015, the first international conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainable Environment (RESE) , was launched as part of a series of conferences taking place every two years, to seek solutions through applied research and collaboration with partners across the world. The first conference focused on the research aspects of renewable energy technologies and the environmental impact.

In 2017, the second international conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainable Environment (RESE), was conducted to promote sustainable environment through applied research benefitting the society at large. The aim was to bring together different disciplines of the global community to present, discuss, and network for creating economically viable solutions. The conference also aimed at exhibiting and enabling the innovations to benefit both the urban and rural population.

In continuation with the above, the third edition of RESE emerges with an objective to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Renewable Energy and Sustainable Environment. It is also poised to provide a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, industrialist and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered followed by solutions adopted in the fields of Renewable and Sustainable Environment.

OBJECTIVES

  • To explore and exchange solutions in renewable energy technologies and environmental issues
  • To examine the impact of energy and environmental technologies on the society
  • To develop collaborative partnership with national and international organisations
  • To promulgate environment consciousness to the younger generation.
